Kat D. Hoops & Friends to teach Hoop Dance and Perform at Backwoods 2015
Kat D. Hoops, a professional silk, lyra, and hula-hoop aficionado has been confirmed for Backwoods 2015. The creative stage designers and producers at Backwoods have discussed integrating two places (one on each side of the main stage) for silks, hammocks, and lyra performances built into the stage design. Additionally other areas such as the enclosed 6,000 SF Air Conditioned club "Elevate" will also showcase Kat and her friends.Kat will also be holding hoop dance classes in the early afternoons both Friday and Saturday at the festival for those who would like to learn.
Revolving Door Circus Confirmed at Backwoods
Revolving door circus is a group of acrobatic performers who do stilt walking, aerial acrobatics, fire dancing, silks, lyra and more. They make creative outfits to immerse themselves in character and entertain. Traveling the country from music festival to music festival, and working with large artists such as The String Cheese Incident, these interactive peeps definitely add to the festival ambiance.
Inflatabill Confirmed for Backwoods 2015
Inflatabill, an artist from California, has been confirmed for Backwoods 2015.Inflatabill creates inflatable glowing art. He designs, cuts, colors, and sews together unique cold-air pieces that create stunning visuals for festival goers.Backwoods and Inflatabill are working on several pieces for the multiple stages at Backwoods as well as the experience the festival is creating in the woods. With a background in parachuting, Inflatabill uses his skillets to hand sew each and every piece he creates.Check out the Artist's Portfolio
Jenkstars Coming to Backwoods 2015
Backwoods has announced its bringing the Jenkstars to its 2015 festival.The Jenkstars are a group of artists, performers, builders, engineers, magicians, and nerds who recycle and reclaim materials to build unique party environments. The group is working with Backwoods this year on several venues.Jenkstars have been gaining notoriety for creating unforgettable experiences at other festivals around the country, including the most recent Electric Forest in Rothbury Michigan.The group powers its tools off of the sun with solar power and prides itself on creating art that's sustainable, and changes the way people view the world.2015 is the start of a long partnership between Jenkstars and Backwoods to continue to build and increase the experiences of festival goers in the years to come.View the Artist's Portfolio
