Please respect the land and festival grounds!

Everything you bring with you when you arrive, take out with you when you leave. Bring extra trash bags, don’t litter, and clean up after yourself. It makes it more enjoyable for you, your neighbors, and it’s good for the environment. It’s the right thing to do. When leaving please have all trash in trash bags at the designated trashcan areas. Our staff will come around to pick up trash bags and take them to the dumpsters or recycling bins. DO NOT leave large items such as tents, shade shelters, chairs, etc.

Please fill in fire pits and leave the grounds as you found them and the way nature intended it to be. Take everything with you you arrived with. Back to Top

6. How do I wear the RFID wristband?

Your RFID is registered to you personally. Your RFID is activated and can be de-activated at any time in the case of lost or stolen wristbands prior to the festival. You should place your RFID wristband on your RIGHT wrist. You will be required to have your wristband on when you arrive at the vehicle entrance, or put it on at that time.

Be sure not to put the wristband on too tight, but tight enough that it cannot come off. Lost wristbands AT the festival will NOT be replaced, so be sure to put it on tight enough!

The locking mechanism will not allow you to remove the bracelet without cutting it. Your wristband/bracelet should be left on the weekend from the time you enter the property until the time you leave camp. Removing your wristband will void your ticket and not allow you entry to the event. Anyone found without a wristband on their wrist will be escorted from the property immediately.

The wristbands are waterproof and can be showered, as well as swam with.

Treat your wristband like gold; a wristband is your ticket and permission to be on the property! Back to Top

All guest passes are picked up where artist, vendor, and sponsor passes are picked up, at Artist Checkin. The person who is providing you the guest passes should know where this is located.

This fee is a non-refundable, non-negotiable fee that assists with the impact of camping infrastructure, cleanup, etc. on the ranch, necessary when hundreds of guests decide to stay the night. CASHLESS PAYMENTS:

1. What is cashless payment?

Cashless Payment is the new system we’ll be using this year at Backwoods Festival. To pay for food, merch, or anything else at the festival you’ll need to use your wristband. Once activated, you can load money on your wristband to be spent at the festival. Simply tap your wristband at a payment point, place your order and tap a second time to confirm!

2. Is it safe?

Yes! What better way to secure your money than by attaching it to your body! Your wristband will be attached to your wrist all weekend so your chances of loosing your wallet or cash go way down! But if you do happen to lose your wristband, you can quickly login to your cashless account and “freeze” your lost wristband!

3. How does cashless payment benefit me?

  • Less time spent waiting in line, and more time spent having fun
  • No need to carry around a wallet and count out change
  • Safe and secure way to make transactions at Backwoods

4. What do I do with my wristband before the festival?

  • DON’T PUT IT ON YET. Patience is a virtue. If you put on your wristband you can’t take it off! So wait until you are on your way to the festival before you put it on.
  • Register your wristband on our website.
  • Set up your cashless payment account so you are ready to go.

5. What happens if I lose my wristband?

Once your wristband is on your wrist securely, it will be almost impossible to lose it unless it is cut off or not put on tight enough. But if you do happen to lose your wristband, you can quickly login to your cashless account and “freeze” your lost wristband! There is always a $20 replacement fee to replace your wristband regardless of the reason if you loose it or need another one before, or during the festival.

6. Do I have to register for cashless payment to register my wristband?

You do not have to register for cashless payments to register your wristband for entry if you plan to make $0 purchases at the event, however no cash is accepted at the festival by any vendors, and the only way to pay for anything is with your wristband once on property so you are encouraged to setup your account since it is the only way to pay.

7. Can I still use cash and cards at Backwoods if I don’t want to use cashless payment?

No, the wristband is the only form of accepted payment at any vendor booth, food booth, bar, etc. There will be top up stations throughout the festival where you can load cash into your cashless account if you brought cash with you to spend.

8. What if I run out of money?

You can reload money onto your wristband while you are at the festival using either the app, the website, or our Top-Up Stations. You put money into the machine and it will load it directly onto your wristband. No hassle!

9. What if I don’t spend all of my money?

If you use a credit card or debit card to top up, all unspent funds will automatically be refunded to you ($5 refund processing fee.) If you use cash to top up, you will be required to fill out the Manual Refund application from your cashless account and the remaining funds ($5 refund processing fee) will be deposited to bank account.

10. Can I share an account?

Yes! If you would like to share an account with a friend or family member, you can create a shared account that will be linked to both wristbands. Just make sure to keep track of who is spending what.

11. Can I split the price of something with a friend?

No, unfortunately we can’t split the price of a purchase between two wristbands. Only one wristband can be used per transaction. This is simply for security reasons to ensure that the owner of the wristband is in control of their spending.

12. Can I set it up to automatically refill my account?

You sure can! With the Auto-Top-Up option, you can set up your account to be automatically refilled whenever you go below a certain amount. That way you never have to worry about how much you have left and when you should top up next.

13. Is my wristband being used by the government to track my every move?

YES. Just kidding. No. We don’t even know how that would be possible… and that would be super creepy! We know you’ll be at Backwoods with us and that’s all we need to know.
