So, I just realized I asked questions about this years festival on last years lineup, my bad!
I wanted to know what the age requirements were for the show, because I am 18, and this will be my first festival so I desperately want to go!
Also, is there the possibility of buying/finding rides to the show like some festivals do?

  • Robyn White | May 21, 2016 at 11:15 am

Hey, so I have a question! Around the end of August, we will be in the process of moving, and I want to be positive I get my tickets before our lease is up on the current house. When is the soonest we can get our wristbands? Thank you!

  • Robyn White | May 23, 2016 at 8:19 pm

How can I track my tickets?

    • Backwoods 2016 | May 24, 2016 at 7:12 am

There is no tracking provided. They will show up anytime from now until 2 weeks prior to the fest.

  • KRISTIN | May 31, 2016 at 6:01 pm

I won 2 “Friday Only Day Passes” (NOT INCLUDING CAMPING) off the radio. How do I get the wristbands? Or do I not get wristbands?

    • Backwoods 2016 | Jun 1, 2016 at 10:05 am

You will go to Will Call on Friday to pick up your day pass wristbands. You’ll be provided an opportunity at that time to upgrade to a full weekend pass with camping if you would like to stay for the entire weekend. If you decide to do that, bring your camping gear!

  • Emily Young | Jun 2, 2016 at 2:14 pm

    Keep up the good work!

  • Robyn White | Jun 3, 2016 at 6:23 pm

So. I ended up wanting to take a friend who’s name wasn’t on the second wristband I ordered with me to the concert, because the person who was originally going to accompany me fell through. Is that okay if I bring another friend? Since I bought them and all?

    • Backwoods 2016 | Jun 6, 2016 at 7:27 am

The wristbands come un-registered. The first names entered were for data purposes only and are not actually associated with the wristbands. When you get them you’ll be able to register them online. At that point, you can not change the name associated with them.

What night does Nahko Bear and medicine for the people play?

    • Backwoods 2016 | Jun 14, 2016 at 12:15 pm

Friday Night is the current plan but the schedule won’t be released until much closer to the event!

      • Joe | Jul 14, 2016 at 9:53 am

Do you have finalization on the time Nahko will be performing yet? We are traveling a long way (from Georgia) for the show and sort of start to make travel plans. Thanks

        • Backwoods 2016 | Jul 14, 2016 at 10:19 am

It’s going to be Friday evening. Full schedule will be released in about 2 weeks.

        • Ian | Jul 20, 2016 at 10:06 pm

come thursday dude! guarantee stellar fun! im also coming from ga, glad to see another georgian there

  • Rin Akida | Jun 21, 2016 at 12:10 pm

So, the GA tickets with Camping are for the entire festival, correct? The reason I ask is because I keep seeing something about a day pass and I would be bummed if I spent all that money I spent just to find out it wasn’t for the entire festival.

    • Backwoods 2016 | Jun 21, 2016 at 9:39 pm

Correct – Day passes are NOT even on sale yet, so if you bought a ticket, it’s definitely a weekend ticket!

      • Kevin Mullins | Jul 6, 2016 at 1:59 pm

“Yet” ? Does this mean we can expect to possibly be able purchase day passes? (really there’s only one event we’re interested in) We’d love to drive up from OKC and see Nahko and Medicine for the People, but we certainly don’t expect to stay all day, let alone all weekend.

  • Chelsea Clark | Jul 10, 2016 at 10:34 am

What day does Haywyre go on? Driving from pretty far and would hate to miss him on Friday. He’s the main act I want to see.

    • Backwoods 2016 | Jul 10, 2016 at 11:16 am

Haywyre performs later in the weekend so you wont miss him if you arrive later on Friday. The full schedule will be out in the next couple of weeks!

  • Nic loehnig | Jul 12, 2016 at 12:22 am

I bought my girlfriend and I a ticket at the beginning of April and then bought our friend a ticket last month and only our friends wristband has came in the mail why is that?

    • Backwoods 2016 | Jul 12, 2016 at 1:08 pm

Wristbands may show up anytime between now and 2 weeks prior to the event. Since they were separate orders, they would ship at different times.

  • Chad Gray | Jul 12, 2016 at 5:29 pm

I had purchased a VIP ticket and was wondering if you allow upgrades at this time to ultimate VIP? Please allow and please advise. Thank you and stay Backwoods!

    • Backwoods 2016 | Jul 12, 2016 at 5:41 pm

Yes – you must purchase the Ultimate VIP ticket under the same account as the previous ticket was purchased. Then email us and we will reimburse/cancel the original ticket. It must be the same account and it must have the same number of tickets in the new order as the old.

  • Joe | Jul 14, 2016 at 9:39 am

Two questions please: I know that single day passes will be available for sale in the future, but will there be Single Day VIP tickets available?
Or is there a way to upgrade a single day pass, if I purchase now through groupon, to a VIP single day when I get to the venue.
    thanks for your help

    • Backwoods 2016 | Jul 14, 2016 at 10:21 am

Single day VIP will be available on our website when we launch them. You will also be able to upgrade at the event.

  • Rin Akida | Jul 16, 2016 at 11:01 am

Someone told me a rumor saying you need a car to camp but my friend and I have our camping tickets but we were gonna have someone just give us a ride since neither of us drive. We don’t really need a car to camp, right?

    • Backwoods 2016 | Jul 18, 2016 at 10:21 am

You do NOT need a car to camp.

  • RJ Knowles | Jul 16, 2016 at 11:25 am

I saw in the F.A.Q that anyone 17 and under has to be accompanied by an adult. Since I will be 18 at the time of the show, but my friend will still be 17, will it be okay for them to come with me?

    • Backwoods 2016 | Jul 18, 2016 at 10:21 am

      Yes, that is fine.

  • rebekah | Jul 28, 2016 at 4:05 pm

will i have access to the GA campgrounds if I purchase a single day ticket? Would just want to be able to hang at my friend’s campsite.

    • Backwoods 2016 | Jul 29, 2016 at 11:43 am

No, only those with a camping ticket can access the campgrounds. Your wristband will not scan into the campground portal if you don’t have camping.

  • Robyn White | Aug 14, 2016 at 1:38 am

I registered both mine and my friend’s ticket but both of them are showing up under my name. How do I change one over to their name or does it even matter?

    • Backwoods 2016 | Aug 14, 2016 at 8:04 am

This means you will share the same cashless account to pay for everything at the festival now. (Considered a shared family account). It’s ok, as she can pay you back or give you cash before you go for what she is going to spend. If you need to switch it to her name individually there is a $20 replacement fee as we have to cancel/release the registered wristband.

  • Rin Akida | Aug 21, 2016 at 3:43 pm

Okay, so I have multiple questions to ask.
    1. Is there a way to upgrade to VIP without having to buy brand new tickets and then get them refunded? If so, what would it cost to do so?
    2. Why aren’t interchangeable lenses allowed on cameras?

    • Backwoods 2016 | Aug 22, 2016 at 10:31 pm

You can upgrade at the gate. GA to VIP is $125. Interchangeable lenses aren’t allowed because the contracts artists (musicians) require with Backwoods prohibit the audience from taking professional photos unless they have been approved with media credentials by the festival ahead of time. Interchangeable lenses are a great way to keep the cameras just under the “professional” mark and is a clear “line in the sand” between consumer gear, and professional gear.
